The Position:

The Integration Developer designs and supports processes that enable enterprise systems to work together primarily using SAP Integration Suite and leveraging the business technology platform (BTP). This highly collaborative role is involved in the full software development lifecycle, including process design, development, implementation, and operational support.  Expertise in integration patterns and system design combined with an ability to understand technical and functional requirements will be used to enable KAB to leverage disparate systems to operate all lines of business.

Reports to: Director of Integration and Data Engineering

Location: Remote combining working from home, and quarterly trips onsite. Ideal candidates will be located within a 2–3-hour drive of our offices.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement and improve systems integrations involving SAP and many other systems.
  • Develop and support processes hosted in SAP BTP (Business Technology Platform), including Integration Suite, API (Application Programing Interface) Management, and Event Mesh.
  • Maintain up to date expertise in the technical integration functionality of multiple systems, including SAP S/4 Hana.
  • Root cause analysis of pain points in process integrations and collaborate with system owners to propose changes to improve operations.
  • Estimate effort required to analyze processes and implement processes.
  • Collaborate with both technical and non-technical partners to understand how to implement processes that support project goals.
  • Develop clear process documentation.


Education and Experience:

  • 3+ years of experience implementing software solutions.
  • Experience with relevant technologies/methodologies/development practices, such as:
    1. Messaging integration patterns
    2. DevOps Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery principles
    3. OData
    4. Designing and using web services
    5. Web hooks
    6. Master data management
    7. SQL
  • Experience with SAP Integration Suite preferred, other experience will be considered.
  • Experience with Azure integration development using service buses, functions, logic functions, APIM and application insights desired.
  • Experience or bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent field.

  • Process Documentation: Skilled at developing technical documentation both to facilitate an understanding of processes with stakeholders and to provide a reference for operating solutions.
  • Team Collaboration: Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and contribute to the success of integration projects.
  • Adaptability: Flexibility to adapt to changing project requirements and priorities.
