About the role

Zest is one of the UK’s fastest growing Electric Vehicle (EV) charging operators. We fund, design and operate solutions for landowners, brands and communities, backed by the government-sponsored Charging Infrastructure Investment Fund. Our open access charge points help tackle climate change, boost local economic growth, and help make EV a realistic option for everyone in society.

The Marketing Manager works within Zest’s Marketing team to create and run marketing campaigns to support the overall marketing strategy. There is an increasing focus on industry and partner events at Zest, so defining and managing the event programme and ensuring successful outcomes will be an important part of the role. The marketing manager will coordinate the activities of marketing team members, will work with suppliers, also with internal and external stakeholders, to deliver high quality campaigns.

 

Key Accountabilities:

The role is responsible for the following:

  • Define and own the strategy for Zest’s event programme
  • Create the physical and virtual event plan to deliver brand awareness and cultivate sales opportunities
  • Set the metrics by which success will be measured
  • Manage budgets
  • Organise internal and external resources to deliver against objectives
  • Support, coach and develop marketing team members
  • Collaborate with the wider team to achieve shared goals
  • Write briefs, proposals and copy for marketing campaigns
  • Analyse market trends, analysis of market activities to identify further opportunities
  • Ensure the budget spend is delivering a return on investment
  • Manage the design and production of promotional materials
  • Embody the values of Zest and be a role model for the team
  • Plus, any other duties as required by the leadership team

  • Deliver campaign plans that support the company’s strategy
  • Deliver campaign outcomes that meet or exceed objectives
  • Improve the motivation and collective productivity of team members

 

Key Relationships:

  • Internal – Marketing Director, Chief Marketing Officer, Chief Development (Sales) Officer, CEO, Operations Director, other members of marketing team, People Director
  • External – Event organisers, commercial partners, external agencies, local authorities and commercial real estate

 

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Outstanding organisational and time management skills
  • Experience of implementing marketing strategies and creating effective implementation plans
  • Experience of creating and executing a B2B events and webinar programme
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Proven social media skills
  • Proven writing ability for briefs, proposals, copy and specs.
  • Experience of managing a team within a marketing function
  • Experience of using marketing software, tools, and apps
  • Experience of working with market research data, data analysis and statistics
