THE ROLE: SALES MANAGER, WALMART

The Sales Manager will support the Sales Director and collaborate with Brokerage partners on all Every Man Jack™ related business activities which will contribute to Walmart’s growth and success. A proactive mindset and the ability to consistently deliver within a values-driven company with regularly changing priorities are crucial to the position. As part of the Sales Manager’s role, you will be responsible for analyzing and communicating business performance as well as assisting in the development of a strategy aimed at achieving profit, volume, and market share goals. As a key component of our Walmart/Sam’s Club business, they will play a crucial role in its day-to-day operation.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

MANAGEMENT OF BUSINESS

  • Assist in the development of the company’s sales strategy and ensure profitability and sales targets are met
  • Contributes to the development of customer-facing presentations such as line reviews, monthly meetings, and emails.
  • Work closely with Walmart, internal cross-functional teams, and leveraging  brokerage partners to maintain store/DC inventory, forecasts, MABD/Fill Rate compliance, and manage in-stock levels.
  • Provide support for ad hoc requests and projects including document completion/compliance, the setup of new items, lead time audits, and deduction requests.
  • Responsible for merchandising & program timelines, including 3P merchandising, seasonal holiday features, New Item launches.
  • Enhance existing data systems with new approaches to evaluating risks and opportunities for businesses.

PLANNING & FORECASTING

  • Prepare forecasts for demand planning collaboration calls driven by POS trends and Walmart order patterns, in addition to key business updates
  • Managing the annual trade spend budget to achieve plan growth
  • Own planning and forecasting of large scale programs, including holiday and special features

 

THE CANDIDATE:

Candidates must be highly motivated and have exceptional written and verbal communication, sound judgment, recognized problem-solving abilities and a proven track record of excelling in a self-directed work environment.  The ideal candidate will be an intelligent team player – someone approachable with a positive, innovative, and professional attitude who works smarter, not harder and takes on a “sleeves-rolled-up” and a “can-do” attitude when faced with challenges. A true ambassador for EMJ, both internally and externally.

 

CAPABILITIES + SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum 3+ years’ experience in working with Walmart/ Sam’s Club – Order Management, Logistics, Supply Chain, or Replenishment background preferred
  • Expertise in using Microsoft Office and Google Drive (Excel, PowerPoint, Slides, and Drive).
  • Data analytics: AC Nielsen, IRI; Walmart Retail Link & Applications (NOVA, DSS, FixIt, Item 360, OTIF).
  • A problem solver at heart, interested in finding a positive outcome for all parties
  • Collaboration and management of brokerage partners with proven success
  • Intelligent, high-drive individual with a passion to learn, contribute, and take initiative
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and meticulous attention to detail
  • Ability to excel in remote sales environment with limited supervision
  • Capability of managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines within strict time frames
  • Leverage data into selling stories and grow our business
  • Travel as necessary for retailer, broker, & company meetings (10-15%)
  • Exceptional track record of consistently delivering positive results
