The Position:

The Senior SAP S/4Hana Technical Analyst is responsible for the software systems used in the day-to-day operation of the business. This individual in this role will work closely with company directors to provide support, maintenance, project leadership, and hands on technical services to accomplish the goals and priorities of the businesses. This position requires deep technical experience with configuring SAP S/4Hana to lead process improvement, ensure data quality and meet the demands of our business.

Reports to: Director of Enterprise Applications

Location: Remote; required to travel onsite to the King Arthur Baking offices in White River Junction, VT 4-6 times per year.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Manages the implementation, ongoing support, and integrations of business applications systems.
  • Partners with business sponsors to take a project or enhancement request through scoping, detailed requirements, use case definitions and implementation for our enterprise systems including SAP S/4Hana and SAP Cloud Platform Integration service.
  • Facilitates gathering requirements through workshops, activity diagrams, business process flows, decision trees and other tools
  • Seeks to learn the business processes and surrounding technology deeply enough to anticipate potential exception scenarios and drive them through structured review to define the expected outcome
  • Acts as a subject matter expert for King Arthur Baking’s enterprise systems to provide day-to-day operational support to business partners
  • Maintains a deep understanding of ERP business flows with a focus on Sales and Distribution, Finance and Order to Cash
  • Has a general knowledge of Procurement/Purchasing, Warehouse Management, Demand/Supply Planning, Manufacturing Processes, MRP, EDI, Master Data Management and 3rd Party application integrations
  • Maintains an understanding of the S/4Hana applications/modules and data structures supporting the above business flows
  • Works closely with the development team and third-party vendors to establish a technical vision and negotiate trade-offs between functionality, usability, feasibility, supportability and performance with feedback loops to the business sponsor as requirements adjustments are warranted
  • Leads the change impact assessment to identify impacts to the organization and work with the relevant parties to develop a change management plan which could include creation of communications and delivery of training
  • Participates in functional and user acceptance testing and supports definition of test scenarios
  • Maintains extensive knowledge of the integration and relations between multiple complex application systems.
  • Participates in rotating off-hours and weekend on-call duties as is required of the role.

Minimum Job Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in Information Technology or related field
  • 5+ years of SAP S/4Hana configuration/programming experience in a multi-channel environment supporting operations, with experience in:
    • Procurement/Purchasing
    • Inventory management
    • Warehouse Management
    • Demand/Supply Planning
    • Manufacturing Processes
    • MRP
    • EDI
    • Master Data Management
    • Integrating with 3 rd party applications
  • Ability to read and debug ABAP.
  • Experience with multiple ERP systems is desired.
  • Experience participating in an ERP implementation is desired.
  • Experience with BTP and integration suite preferred
  • Strong understanding of business processes including supply chain, inventory, sales, marketing, and forecasting
  • Experience evaluating current practices for efficiencies and improvements
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills including ability to organize time, work on multiple tasks, and follow through to completion of task or project
  • Ability to create and write clear, complete documentation of systems and procedures
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills including high degree of attention to detail and accuracy

Physical Requirements:

  • Regularly sit for extended periods of time
  • Use computer equipment including keyboard, mouse and monitor 4-8 hours daily
