As SEO Manager, you’ll join our Marketing team where you’ll be accountable for the creation, execution and evolution of the SEO strategy across our Simplyhealth and Denplan portfolios, accountable for the delivery of SEO traffic and rankings across all websites.

As a key member of our Growth Marketing team, you’ll lead on the strategy, planning, optimisation & performance measurement across our B2C and B2B SEO channel. You’ll be our ‘go-to’ person who inspires and motivates the team and the rest of the business on everything SEO, including up-to-date trends and tech and how these can benefit Simplyhealth.

 

Key responsibilities:

  • Own the planning and execution of the SEO strategy to increase organic traffic and search engine rankings across Simplyhealth Consumer (B2C), Simplyhealth Corporate Voluntary (B2C), Simplyhealth Corporate (B2B) and Denplan (B2B and B2C).
  • Conduct keyword research and analysis to identify high-value opportunities
  • Optimise website structure and content to improve search engine visibility
  • Investigate and identify technical issues and opportunities to increase organic performance, collaborating with cross-functional teams, including content managers and web developers, to ensure resolutions implemented in a timely and satisfactory fashion
  • Lead outreach efforts for building strong backlink profiles across web properties
  • Work with the Digital Analytics Manager to monitor and analyse website performance metrics to measure the effectiveness of SEO efforts
  • Support the Ecommerce team with ongoing content and user journey experimentation and testing and be proactive in bringing best-in-class conversion rate optimisations tactics to the business.
  • Working with the Product Marketing team and the Clinical team to better understand the relevance of our products and services within target markets to identify promotional opportunities
  • Ensuring that customer communications and interactions with us across all channels are clear and consistent, reflecting the brand and product proposition as well as being compliant with relevant regulatory requirements through a managed sign off process
  • Collaborate closely with the rest of the marketing department on campaign alignment, and to share SEO best practices for content creation and execution

About You:

As SEO Manager you’ll have strong knowledge of both the technical and content aspects of SEO, together with the requirements to establish a successful offsite outreach and content programme.

You’ll have experience of defining and implementing SEO strategies across a variety of products where you’ll have been responsible for delivery against established KPIs.

We’d also love you to be data-driven and inquisitive in nature, with a performance led approach. You’ll have a willingness to undertake new challenges, be flexible, and work across marketing functions with a strong commitment to delivering growth targets, innovation, and marketing best practice.

Your relationship building and influencing skills will enable you to seek opportunities to collaborate across the Marketing, Digital, Product and Customer Service teams to drive acquisition and retention opportunities.

 

Key skills/experience required:

  • Proven hands-on experience as an SEO Manager or similar role
  • Demonstratable experience of creating, executing, and evolving a top-level SEO strategy for a reputable brand within a competitive industry
  • Excellent knowledge of content optimisation requirements and keyword research
  • Strong understanding of technical SEO, including experience with website structure, crawling and indexing, and on-page optimisation
  •  Proven experience leading outreach efforts for building strong backlink profiles across web properties
  • Excellent understanding of SEO tools, such as Screaming Frog, Ahrefs, Semrush, and Google Search Console
  • Excellent understanding of Analytics tools, such as Adobe Analytics and Google Analytics
