The Social Media & Community Manager oversees Numi’s social media platforms while cultivating and nurturing our online community. This person will strategize, support and execute marketing plans and Numi’s brand values with a digital-first approach for social publishing, setting and achieving goals, and growing our social followings. This position requires someone who is nimble, organized, able to juggle multiple projects, collaborative and friendly with excellent verbal and written communication skills. Interest and knowledge around tea, natural and organic products, wellness trends, and environmental/social causes is important.

This position is remote with preference for Bay Area candidates.



  • 2+ years in social media and/or digital marketing with proven work experience growing and engaging followers.
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, journalism, communications, or related field or comparable experience.
  • Hands on experience in content management.
  • Ability to deliver high-quality creative content (text, image and video).
  • Knowledge of online marketing channels and Google Analytics.
  • Proficient technical skills – keeping up with social media platform updates; analyzing & translating data
  • Excellent copywriting and proofing skills.
  • Extremely well organized, methodical, and efficient.
  • Self-motivated and proficient at managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong understanding and interest in current and upcoming trends, with the ability and desire to seek out new ideas and approaches that align with the brand.
  • Experience with Sprout Social, Facebook Creator Studio, Trello or other social media tools.
  • Video creation & editing for Instagram stories & reels.
  • Photography, and/or graphic design experience a plus.



Content, Campaigns and Planning

  • Interpret brand pillars, company goals, and creative campaigns to develop content strategy and schedule across all channels – monthly and yearly social media planning and activation calendar that embodies the brand and visual aesthetic.
  • Generates new ideas that meet consumer needs and fit the company strategy.
  • Create and manage content for all social platforms, including but not limited to Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, and LinkedIn.
  • Maintain an “always on” evergreen level of exposure and support across all brand objectives including partners, influencers, UGC, branded content, e-commerce, etc.
  • Oversee day-to-day scheduling and publishing content across all social platforms based on seasonal campaigns and product priorities.
  • Attain and oversee Influencer partnerships, UGC strategy, bloggers and ambassadors to drive new brand awareness and customer acquisition.
  • Partner closely with our digital, creative, and external agency team members to ensure brand initiatives and messages are aligned, with timely, and relevant deployment.
  • Be up-to-date on industry trends, timely news, hashtags and online platform trends as well as Numi events, awards, press hits, Numi Foundation initiatives and new products.
  • Manage influencer & social media budgets and deployment of funds to boost posts and re-target consumer.

Consumer Relations Management

  • Manage Consumer Relations function. Act as the first touchpoint and voice of the brand across all owned and organic social channels in a way that ensures a positive community experience.
  • Is a brand champion and ambassador as well as product expert – develop a deep understanding of Numi and its products to appropriately respond to questions (product recommendations, feedback, etc.)
  • Respond in a timely manner to consumer inquiries via messages, comments, emails, and voicemails.
  • Coordinate cross-functionally with Marketing, Operations, Quality, and various departments to resolve questions and concerns satisfactorily.

Strategy & Insights

  • Define and oversee social media strategy around content pillars, product and brand campaigns, and partnerships with Chief Brand Officer and marketing team across all channels with the objective of driving brand awareness, consumer engagement and revenue.
  • Track and understand Numi consumer and provide insights, A/B test posts, shift language and ensure you are authentic and on-point to meet their interests and needs.
  • Align with Marketing leadership to establish and standardize KPIs; provide learnings to share insights and facilitate best practices. Understand key metrics to track consumer engagement.
  • Own and provide quarterly and yearly analytics reports, dashboards, and scorecards that summarize highlights per channel, audience growth, community engagement, and e-commerce traffic and sales.
  • Track and monitor KPIs in real-time to optimize and pivot strategies, tactics and content development.
  • Assist Marketing Team in creation of brand decks, and other requested documents and reports as needed.
