About the role

We’re searching for a passionate visual storyteller that can transform stories & data into watchable, shareable TikTok videos, Instagram Reels, YouTube shorts, and other social media posts. You’ll storyboard, film and edit engaging short-form videos and posts for multiple channels to promote product education and launches, our progressive business practices, and various causes, such as: drug policy reform, sustainability, and fair trade. If you enjoy turning sometimes-complex topics (such as regenerative organic agriculture or fair trade) into easy-to-understand videos that clearly and succinctly communicate the core message, drive high engagement, and inspire our customers to learn more & take action, we invite you to join the Dr. Bronner’s social media team!

Starting Salary

$65,000-$70,000/yr depending on experience



Hybrid (locally Remote in Southern California, with regular onsite work every Thursday and as needed at Vista, CA headquarters.)



Video Production and Content Creation:

  • Storyboard, script, film and edit short-form videos that captivate our target audience, align with Dr. Bronner’s brand voice and content goals, produce engaging results, and tell effective stories about our products, company, and activism (including drug policy reform, sustainability, progressive business practices, and fair trade).
  • Adapt short-form videos to TikTok, Instagram Reels, Facebook Reels, YouTube Shorts, and/or other social media channels based on each channel’s best practices, target audience, and content goals.
  • Produce first-person/selfie-style videos as needed.
  • Collaborate with the content team, brand team, design team, public relations team, and subject matter experts to gather input on content, as needed.
  • Support the Brand, Sr. eCommerce Manager, and Design Teams by helping format existing videos (sizing, captions, styling) for paid social media.
  • Travel to headquarters, photoshoots and events as needed to capture photos and videos.
  • Support Social Media Manager with content creation as needed, such as concepting and writing social media posts.

Support Social Media Strategy:

  • Help develop and continually refine a strategy for Dr. Bronner’s TikTok channel that combines Dr. Bronner’s core values and content goals, as well as TikTok’s best practices and trends.
  • Keep abreast of social media changes, trends, and updates across various channels and propose new strategies for the Social Media team to implement.

Engagement and Community Management:

  • Support the Social Media Community Specialist by responding to messages and comments in a timely manner in alignment with Dr. Bronner’s engagement guidelines, goals, and initiatives.

Analysis and Recommendations on Trends and Best Practices:

  • Use knowledge of current social media trends and platform-specific algorithms to ensure our content reaches and engages with our target audience.
  • Share data-backed guidance, recommendations, and best practices to increase post and channel engagement rates in alignment with Dr. Bronner’s values, goals, and initiatives.
  • Other duties as assigned within job scope.



We understand that not all candidates will meet every qualification and encourage all interested candidates to apply.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Film, or related field.
  • 2-3 years’ experience creating and editing engaging, results-driven short-form videos for a brand, agency or non-profit.
  • 2-3 years’ experience responding to customers on social media on behalf of a brand or agency.
  • High degree of comfort and familiarity with TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube. Experienced with various video editing tools — including in-app editing and video editing apps or software, such as InShot, CapCut, Adobe Premiere Rush, or similar.
  • Proficiency required with smartphones, cameras, and video cameras.
